How to Advertise in Telegram Ads

Telegram Ads · for your own bots and channels

Find out what a subscriber to your bot or channel costs. First test: 50–90 €

Your bot or channel is live, and the only people inside are friends. The course shows, in a live ad account, how to launch a first test, read the result and work out what to fix: the channel, the ad or the landing. No agency.

6 minutes: how the course is built and what's inside

21 lessons128 minutes of video in a live ad account
50–90 €budget for a first meaningful test
CTR 1–3%+in the author's own campaigns
5.0 out of 511 reviews from buyers

Sound familiar?

  • You buy posts from channel admins and pay again every time: the result can't be repeated
  • You topped up the ad account, the budget was spent, and a subscriber came out at 300 ₽. Where the mistake is, you can't tell
  • You wrote twenty ads and they all get a CTR of 0.3%. You rewrite them at random
  • One test costs hundreds of dollars, and afterwards it is still unclear what to fix
  • Traffic comes and goes without sales, and you don't know whether to blame the ad or what happens after the click
  • You pay for subscribers and can't check how many of them are bots

How people solve this today

Buying posts. The admin sets the price and there are no statistics. There is no way to know whether it worked.
Running the ad account themselves. Five audiences in one campaign give an average number that explains nothing.
Figuring it out by trial and error. Dozens of hours and expensive experiments just to learn which numbers count as normal.
Hiring an agency. It learns on your budget, and the understanding stays with them.
Improving the product for another month. A product without people looks just like a bad one: nobody buys it.

Why it didn't work, and what the course does about it

You can't see what exactly is broken → A test scheme: 5–6 channels at 10–15 € each, one audience per campaign, a result you can read.
You don't know what to change in the ad → Headline formulas and ready-made structures for texts and banners that pass moderation.
You choose channels by feel → A method for finding and checking channels, including for fake engagement, before you spend the budget.
You don't know which ad account to open → A breakdown of the Russian ad account and the international one on TON: geo, deposits, payment.
You have nothing to compare your numbers with → Metrics from the author's campaigns as a reference: which CTR, CPM and conversion rates to treat as normal.
You look at CTR instead of money → Unit economics: the cost of a subscriber, a lead and a customer.
You spend evenings on routine → Codex with a ready-made prompt for your project: ad account setup and creative variants.

After the course you will be able to

  • Run a test for 50–90 € and get a number you can base a decision on
  • Name the weak spot from the result: the channel, the ad or the landing
  • Write ads with a CTR above 1% and understand why they work
  • Tell a setup that can be scaled from a random spike

@eqwertyry ★★★★★

Who it's for

  • Those who have already run Telegram Ads but are unhappy with the cost per subscriber and don't know how to move it
  • Founders who run their own ads and don't want to pay an agency for experiments
  • Telegram channel authors who need predictable growth rather than one-off post purchases
  • Marketers who came from Meta/Google Ads and don't understand why everything is different here

Who it's not for

  • Those looking for a "make it look nice" button with no budget for a test
  • Those expecting a ready-made channel database instead of a method

A personal story · 12 min read There was a product. There were no customers Read the story →

Hi. Maybe this has happened to you

You came up with a product. You spent weeks or months building the first version, argued with yourself about features, redid the payment screen, picked a name. Finally you hit "publish", and almost nothing happened. A few signups from friends, a couple of kind comments, then silence. It feels like nobody needs the product. You want to shut it all down and start the next one.

I know that state. I built many products and believed for too long that a good product would one day find its audience on its own. That it was enough to add one more feature, make the landing page prettier or lower the price. But a lack of sales often says nothing about the product. It only says that not enough of the right people have reached it.

It is an unpleasant thought, because code and design are under our control, and distribution looks like chaos. So it is easier for a founder to polish the product for another week than to spend one day on advertising and get an honest answer from the market.

A good product without distribution looks exactly like a bad one: nobody buys it.

The mistake I kept repeating

The most expensive mistake is treating traffic as the last step. First we build the product, then the site, then the channel, and only at the end do we ask: "So where do we get people?" By then the energy is running out, money for tests feels too precious, and we demand an immediate payback from the first ad.

If the first launch brought no sales, the conclusion usually sounds like this: "Paid traffic doesn't work." But that is like cooking a dish once without a recipe, oversalting it and deciding that cooking doesn't work. We don't know what exactly broke: the audience, the ad, the landing page, the offer or the follow-up after the first touch.

When I was building SpatialChat and other products, I had to stop looking at marketing as magic. A company does not grow out of one lucky post. Growth appears when the pieces connect: the right person sees a clear promise, lands in a relevant context, gets proof and takes the next step.

Why I started studying Telegram Ads systematically

Telegram already has communities gathered around almost any topic. Not abstract interests that an algorithm guessed for the user, but real channels read by developers, entrepreneurs, marketers, investors and online store owners. With Telegram Ads you can show up in exactly the places where your audience already reads and discusses the problem.

But there is an important detail: Telegram will not do the work for you. This is not an ad system that learns for a long time and gradually finds the buyer by itself. You choose the channels, the bid, the text and where the click lands. Get one element wrong and the budget is spent with no useful result.

When the setup is put together correctly, I see CTR in the range of 1–3%+, and post-click conversion in individual campaigns of 27–58%. This is not a promise of your result: everyone's product, audience and offer are different. It is proof of a simpler thing: the tool can bring attention if you don't run it blind.

Telegram Ads does not fix a weak setup. It shows you, quickly and for money, where it is weak.

Why most people don't succeed on the first try

The first reason is wrong targeting. People pick large channels by a vague sign like "there seem to be entrepreneurs there" and mix five different audiences in one campaign. The resulting average explains nothing: you can't tell which channel brought real people and which one just ate impressions.

The second is a weak creative. A small ad block has no room for a long introduction. In one second a person has to recognize their own situation and understand why to click. Generic phrases like "take your business to the next level" go unnoticed because they promise nothing specific.

The third is the gap between the ad and the landing. The ad promises a sales breakdown but leads to the channel's main feed, where a personal note or a meme sits on top. The user does not look for the right post. They close Telegram. There was a click, the money was charged, no trust was built.

The fourth is the lack of follow-up. Even good traffic rarely buys a complex product after one touch. You need content, a sequence, proof, an offer and a clear next step. Many people judge an ad by the sales on the first evening and stop the campaign before the setup has had time to give an answer.

Cheap traffic is not the goal

The phrase "lots of cheap traffic" sounds tempting, but on its own it is dangerous. You can buy cheap clicks from people who will never need the product. You can get hundreds of subscribers and not a single sale. A low cost per subscriber does not yet mean marketing that works.

So I count the whole chain: impressions, clicks, subscriptions or leads, and then customers. I look not only at CTR but also at CVR, the cost of the target action and customer economics. A good campaign is not the one where the number in the ad account looks nice. A good campaign returns more value than it takes in money and time.

Sometimes that means replacing the text. Sometimes it means no longer showing up in the obvious big channel and finding five small precise ones. Sometimes the ad honestly shows that the offer or the product itself needs to change. That is a useful result too: a small test costs less than months of development in silence.

A working setup is not a secret list of channels

Lists go out of date quickly. A channel changes its audience, gets more expensive, stops delivering. So in the course I do not sell a "magic database". I give a method you can use on your own to find, check and test channels for a specific product.

Inside I show the ad account, ad types, bids, moderation, Search and ads in bots. Separately I cover texts and banners, protection from bots, the test budget, unit economics, the link to the funnel and scaling the winners. There is also a workflow with Codex: how to give it your project's context so that it helps analyze campaigns and prepare creative variants for your exact task.

What you are left with is not a recording of someone else's launch but a repeatable cycle: form a hypothesis, build a campaign, collect enough data, find the weak spot, improve it and scale what was confirmed. This skill carries over to the next product and the next audience.

Why not hire a specialist or a coach

You can hire an agency, a consultant or take personal mentoring. For a company with a large budget that may be reasonable. But at an early stage there is a problem: a contractor still does not know the product and the customer the way the founder does. And their learning is paid for out of the ad budget.

If you assemble this knowledge piece by piece (consultations on the ad account, copywriting, creative reviews, analytics setup, unit economics and several weeks of personal mentoring), the cost easily turns into hundreds of thousands of roubles. And even after that, the decisions often stay in the specialist's head.

The course does not pretend to be personal coaching for 200–300 thousand: I will not run your ad account for you every day. Its value is elsewhere. For 99 € you get an assembled system, real screens and numbers, thinking templates and all future updates, and you keep the competence in-house.

You are not paying for information. You are paying so that you don't pay for the same mistakes with your ad budget.

What changes after the course

I do not promise a button that makes any product start selling. There is no such button. After the course you will have something more valuable: an understanding of what to launch, how much to give a test, which numbers to look at and what decision to make after the result.

You will be able to tell a bad creative from a bad channel, a cheap click from a profitable customer, a random spike from a setup that can be scaled. And instead of the phrase "ads don't work" you will have a specific diagnosis and a next experiment.

Maybe your last product really was a failure. But maybe too few of the right people simply saw it. I made this course so that you get the market's next answer faster, cheaper and without guessing.

Questions

What language is the course in?

The lessons and videos are in Russian. This page is in English for convenience.

How much budget do I need to apply the course?

For a first meaningful test, 50–90 €. That is enough for 5–6 channels at 10–15 € each and a representative result. Lesson 11 covers separately how to calculate a budget for your task.

I don't have a channel of my own. Is the course right for me?

Yes. The course covers ads for a channel, the link to a sales funnel, and ads in bots. But it is worth preparing a channel, and part of Lesson 0 is devoted to that.

Is the course about the Russian ad account or the international one?

Both. Lesson 0 covers the difference between the Russian ad account and the international one on TON: geo, minimum deposits, payment methods.

Is access forever?

Yes, it is a one-time purchase with unlimited access, including all future course updates.

Can I get a refund?

There are no change-of-mind refunds, which is why two lessons are open for free: check the format and the level of the material before you pay. If something goes wrong with the payment (you were charged twice, or access did not open), write to us and we will fix it and refund you.
